Is this Yin and Yang Yoga Workshop for you?
Do you practice yoga? Or are you in a place where you now would like to experience yoga for the first time? Did you begin your yoga journey recently or a long time ago, perhaps coming on and off this path of transformation now and then?
Are you a teacher who wishes to further your yoga education?
Then this workshop is for you.
Do you wish to deepen your understanding of how lack of mobility in the area of the hips impacts on the rest of the body? Do you wish to improve the range of movement available to you in your hips? Are you curious about learning simple and effective practices that will benefit the joints of the pelvis, by improving range of movement, and by preventing unnecessary uneven wear and tear?
Then this workshop is for you.
Do you know someone who has hip or back pain, or wants to improve their sports’ performance? Then this workshop is also for them!
A flowing Yang practice, with held postures, in the morning will explore a range of postures ( asana) to heighten your awareness of how the structures around your hips allow you to move and possibly restrict your range of movements.
You will learn about how your unique structure around the pelvis facilitates some movements better than others. Some of us can easily sit in a cross-legged position, without discomfort in the back, some of us are not able to do so.
In the afternoon, a Yin and restorative yoga practice will enable you to explore, in a gentle, supported way, how a greater range of movement in your hips can be found. From this you also learn how possible restrictions in the range available to you, impact on other areas of your body through the fascial network.
The practice will finish with a deep relaxation, leaving you revitalised, refreshed and ready to go!
