Schedule and WorkshopsNow available for 1-1, 1-2, private group sessions in 2026 Investment £60
Retreat dates at St Lawrence Church Hall, ( google 'Goring Young Explorers") Sea Place, Worthing .Yoga with Somatics 10-1pm NOW BOOKING! Saturday 18th April 10-1 pm. This month’s theme :” A Fresh Perspective “ How often do we take the time to question our perspective and find a space, and a place, where we are open to viewing things differently? So this month it is my deliberate intention not to reveal the contents of this retreat, simply inviting you to turn up with an open mind, heart and your willing body! Come and have fun and be surprised ( Safe in the knowledge that your practice will be beneficial in many ways) 😀 For 2026 I have decided to reduce the amount of retreats, and offer up more availability for private 1-1 or 1-2 group sessions on a Saturday morning or afternoon. I recognise that not everyone feels like a 1-1 practice on Weekdays, particularly with busy work schedules. However, for those who do not have work commitments and would like a 1-1 practice during the week, there is availability. As many of you are aware, in 2025, together, (as a faculty member of The Yoga Academy), with my dear friend Simon Low, (course Principal), we began a Yoga and Somatics Teacher Training Course. A few years ago I trained as a Somatic Movement Educator and have continued my studies ever since. So in 2026, I shall be incorporating more somatic practices into these retreats and will also make available 1-1 sessions purely in Somatics, as well as yoga 1-1. Reserve precious times to nourish yourself! Devote time for your well being in 2026! Please email j[email protected] or ring +447905113415 for further details and to book. To me all of life is a question of balance and that is where the balance of flow yoga and restorative yoga can help us to learn more about our approach to life and how we can best promote a helpful balance physically, mentally and emotionally. “The nervous system holds the key to the body’s incredible potential to heal itself.” David Bercelli. The first half of each of the yoga retreats is a flow practice with statically held asana ( postures) very much led by the breath. The second half will include a some somatic practices, yin and restorative yoga, also with focus on the breath, leaving you refreshed, restored and revitalised. There will be a short break when teas and healthy snacks are provided. If, like me you enjoy coffee, then have some before you come…intentionally I don’t provide it in the break, as from my own experience, it does not facilitate a more restful, relaxed state which is what is cultivated in the second half. I have a couple of bolsters I can hire out for £5 and if you don’t have one and do not wish to hire, then a pillow wrapped in a bath towel is perfectly fine. I have a few yoga blocks and blankets available. Last year I had some problems receiving emails so I apologise if you did not receive a response. Please can I ask if you don’t receive a response within 2 days, then please contact me by phone 07905113415, either ring on WhatsApp, or send me a message on WhatsApp, to make your booking. Places are restricted to a max of 15 and your payment secures your place . To be honest , I was concerned about the last workshop.....not about the virus as I had no doubt Jane would stick to the rules...but more about whether the “ chill out / feeling etc” would be the same. I can honestly say that not only did Jane reassure as by following the government guidelines, but also we all left with the same feeling. Trees send down deep roots to ensure stability and longevity, whilst remaining flexible enough to sway, not break, in the wind. This practice is an opportunity to reflect on what you wish to shed, that what no longer serves you, as well as building strength, stability, firm foundations all of which enable you to remain flexible and resilient. 6 |
